"The Windsor Statement on the Diaconate"
Following the ‘Scottish Ecumenical Encounters on the Diaconate’ in 1988, 1991 and 1994, deacons from different traditions gathered in sixteen regional groups across Great Britain and at national level during 1996 and 1997, to exchange information, consult and have dialogue about experiences of diaconal ministry. These meetings formed an ECUMENICAL DIACONAL CONSULTATION and facilitated the WINDSOR STATEMENT ON THE DIACONATE.
